Swiss Alps: Melting snow releases plane and human remains
Melting Swiss glaciers, accelerating the pace of global warming, led to the discovery of the wreckage of a plane that crashed at least 54 years ago, as well as two unidentified bodies a few days later.
More and more discoveries. With glaciers melting, due to global warming, it is no longer rare to find a relic trapped in the Alps for decades. Within a month, hikers came face-to-face with two sets of human remains and a missing plane wreck more than half a century ago.
As mentioned Watchmanspotted before international mailA police spokesman confirmed on Monday that two French mountaineers made a horrific discovery on August 3 while climbing the Chesguen glacier in the southern canton of Valais.
These would be the bones of someone who most likely died in the 70s or 80s because of their clothes. Since then, the body has been removed from the glacier by helicopter.
A week ago, another body was found near the station of Zermatt, in the Stockje glacier, near the resort of Zermatt, northwest of the Matterhorn.
In either case, the police will identify these two bodies, particularly by DNA analysis. In fact, the police maintain a list of about 300 missing persons cases since 1925.
At the beginning of August, a mountain guide discovered the wreckage of a Piper Cherokee.
After the current avalanche, a wrecked old plane was discovered this week (Tuesday) in Concordia on #cocktail Glacier, the largest glacier in the Alps.
The origin of the missing plane remains unclear.

The latter had crashed on the Aletsch glacier in June 1968 and had three people on board, the bodies of which had already been found.
