Spain: A blue shark scares swimmers at the edge of Alicante beach (video)

In Alicante, Spain, a blue shark was spotted near swimming pools a few meters from the shore. Panicked, they had to urgently get out of the water. The animal did not harm anyone.

It’s hard not to panic. While enjoying a swim near Aguamarina Beach in Orihuela Costa, in the province of Alicante (Spain), the swimmers panicked on Thursday, June 15, when a surprise guest came and is part of the party. It was a blue shark about two meters long that floated near the shore.

Noticing the fin’s presence, rescuers immediately told those in the water to get out and reach the mainland. According to local media, a woman had a panic attack when she saw the animal near her.

After a few minutes, the animal finally moved away from the edge of the beach. The fin was no longer seen near the shore, and the rescuers again authorized swimming during the day.

But in fact, the blue shark will be harmless and will not attack humans. It mainly feeds on small fish, molluscs, cephalopods, and occasionally birds, as reported inChipedia.

The animal was eventually found dead on La Caleta beach, less than two kilometers from where it was first seen. It should also be noted that this species makes rare passages at coastal level and spends most of its time in open water.
