Rugby World Cup: What time and on which channel do you watch New Zealand vs Uruguay?
In their last World Cup group stage match, on Thursday in Lyon, the All Blacks (second in Group A) will challenge Uruguay (fourth), having won two out of three matches (wins against Namibia and Italy with an attacking bonus, and defeat against France). The New Zealanders have 10 points on the clock, while their opponent, Uruguay, has only 5 points after winning and losing two matches (defeats against France and Italy and a victory over Namibia with an attacking bonus point). You can watch the match on Thursday, October 5 at 9 pm on TF1.
To face Uruguay, New Zealand coach Ian Foster made an adjustment to his team by making nine changes to his starting lineup compared to the one that beat Italy (96-17). Among them, Sam Keane returns to the team and Damian McKenzie takes a starting place at full-back.
Uruguay coach Esteban Meneses made seven changes from the team’s lineup during the victory over Namibia (36-26), with Lucas Bianchi starting from the third row, his first in the current World Cup.
Uruguay has not yet been mathematically eliminated. They can dream of qualifying if they beat the New Zealanders by more than 80 points with the attacking bonus and France beat Italy. Quite an unlikely combination. As for New Zealand, a simple improved success will open the doors to the quarter-finals, regardless of the outcome of the match between France and Italy on Friday evening.
