Police booed and arrested a Spanish tourist for climbing a Mayan pyramid

Defying a ban, the tourist climbed the steps of a pyramid at the historic site of Chichen Itza, Mexico, exposing herself to the wrath of the crowd of tourists at the site before she was finally arrested by the police.

In response, the tourist mocks her critics by hitting all smiles while dancing as she pauses while climbing the steep 90 steps or so, and puts her handbag down one of the steps before resuming her progress towards the top. Once at the top, she enters the covered part there.

The woman exits shortly after while the man begins to ascend, a priori to bring her down, which she begins to do. By the time he reaches his height, the tourist allows himself the last asanas.

Booed, harassed and arrested by the police

As he escorts her down the pyramid, the crowd below greets him with repeated cries of “Prison! Prison!” Some people threw projectiles at him.

Although there are people who appear to be site staff and try to protect her, she is grabbed by other people who pull her arm and hat off before throwing water and bottles at her as she tries to extricate herself from the group. .

Several local media said the Spanish tourist was finally arrested. Access to the pyramid has been strictly regulated since 2008, for conservation reasons. Since then, it has been subject to special licenses, as is the case for singer Jennifer Lopez who, for example, managed to film part ofclip in 2011.
