Piau-Engaly develops beginners area and off-ski activities
Piau-Engaly Resort plans to open its ski area on December 3 if snow conditions permit. This winter, it opens new facilities in its area and non-ski activities. They are part of the Natura Piau project, to rehabilitate the resort.
A popular destination for families, loyal and multi-generational clients, Biao Resort has chosen this winter to focus its efforts in terms of reception or skiing on beginners and guides. On the piste side, a large park of discoveries opens up to give you the opportunity to truly immerse yourself in learning to ski. Equipped with a functional covered carpet that replaces two old ski lifts, it will serve two distinct spaces; On one side, the Ecole ski slope, more comfortable and 80 meters wide. On the other hand, there is a play area with a snow tubing track of 140 meters in length.
Multiple activities in the jungle
Under the heart of the resort and the snowy front, a new forested area with a pedestrian path has been developed. Complements the display of non-ski related activities already on site and which are very popular; Snowshoeing, dog sledding, ice climbing… An ideal area for navigating in the midst of nature, it aims to reconnect vacationers with nature, silence and simple moments of luxury.
That skiers lack the adrenaline are assured. Three new free zones will open. These natural and unprepared spaces remain within easy reach thanks to the detachable mobile elevators. They will allow you to learn this practice or confirm your skills without fear of danger. To enhance safety, the installation of DVA (Device Autonomous) equipment will make it easier to inspect the equipment before each descent.
