Philippe Saint-André was convinced of the XV of France: he explains
Responding to a question via the RMC Sport microphone, Philippe Saint-Andre, former coach of France XV, responded to the Blues’ victory over the Blacks, last Friday at the Stade de France.
The latter claims that he was convinced by the French team.
He analyzes this French victory and explains why the Blues are on the right track. Extracts:
“Yes, I’m convinced by the Blues. They were disciplined as they only took four penalties against one of the best countries in the world. Usually you aim for less than 10 penalties. Even if you struggle in the first half, you stay disciplined. Then you stay methodical because we are busy.” Consistently. It was a bad first half but we still took the lead thanks to the crowd that Atunio put his opponent back in. We were effective in the scoring area.
The seat brought real added value. Then great personal strength at the beginning of the second half. There is a slight lead from the New Zealanders while it was a highlight for the French team. We are back, we have no doubt, we will be back in the mix and have real strength of character in our World Cup opener.
🇫🇷🇳🇿 Saint-Andre praises the Blues’ performance against the Blacks: “We had a bad first half but we were still ahead at the break. At the beginning of the second half we tested the limit but we went back to the paste.” “The real strength of character in this opening match.” pic.twitter.com/1FltF3Kfxr
