Nvidia unveils DLSS 3.5 and good news it works on all GeForce RTX hardware
Nvidia is taking advantage of Gamescom to make some ads. The company is notably unveiling DLSS 3.5 with a new AI engine that improves ray tracing rendering.
For several years, Nvidia has been developing its DLSS technology as the exclusive gem of its GeForce graphics cards.
As a reminder, this technology allows for the improvement of image definition by artificial intelligence. Thus, the machine can make a sophisticated presentation using Ray tracing at a lower resolution, then use DLSS to switch to native 1440p or 4K. In other words, DLSS helps increase performance.
With DLSS 3 and the GeForce RTX 4000, Nvidia has added the ability to fully generate graphics and thus double the performance in some games, especially when they are limited by the CPU.
Now Nvidia is unveiling DLSS 3.5. The good news is that this time the main novelty is compatible with all GeForce RTX 2000, 3000 and 4000 cards.
Improved ray tracing
With DLSS 3.5, Nvidia is adding another function to AI processing: Ray rebuildThis function replaces Noise removeran important step in creating an image in Ray tracing .
instead of Noise removerHand-crafted by developers, Nvidia promises to use its own AI to do better. The result, according to the brand, is a significant improvement in image quality and correcting some of the old-fashioned display problems.
It is also a function that can find its place in 3D modeling software that uses Ray tracing . But the games are used Traceroute Like Minecraft and Overdrive mode Cyberpunk 2077Which should serve as a showcase for this technology.
Alan Wake 2 is also slated to take advantage of DLSS 3.5 when it is scheduled to be released on October 17, 2023.
Nvidia also takes the opportunity to announce this Call of Duty Modern Warfare III , Payday 3 AndFortniteIt will also integrate DLSS 3.
