Nigeria dominates Cameroon and qualifies for the quarter-finals!
Starting on the Mondial Excluded: Moussa Diaby's interview in the movie “Little Brother”!
A big shock at the end of this first day of the Round of 16 of the African Cup of Nations. After Angola qualified against Namibia, Nigeria faced Cameroon. Although Ajayi thought he could open the scoring in the ninth minute, Nigeria resorted to the Video Assistant Referee, which disallowed the goal for offside. It was just a postponement because in the 36th minute, Ademola Lukma opened the scoring for the Super Eagles and they therefore took a one-goal lead into the second half.
Nigeria logically dominates Cameroon!
In the second half, the Cameroonian reaction was expected. Didn't really arrive. The most dangerous were the Nigerians who would kill the suspense in the 90th minute after Ademola Lookman's brace. Thus, Jose Peseiro's men qualify for the quarter-finals. Just days after their stunning qualification for the knockout stage, the Indomitable Lions left the competition in the round of 16. Big failure.
To summarize
Nigeria logically defeated Cameroon and qualified for the quarter-finals. A big shock at the end of this first day of the Round of 16 of the African Cup of Nations. After Angola qualified against Namibia, Nigeria faced Cameroon.
