New Zealand gathering in the center of Auckland
Six months before this highly anticipated return, the organization broke news of the event by revealing in particular about the event’s first sponsor, Repco, but also the location of a service park with a favorite in the heart of Auckland, the most populous city in the country.
“It has taken five years to prepare for this event and there has been a tremendous amount of work and discussions to bring the WRC back to New Zealand. We will have a real show and we will bring the rally in front of as many people as possible. The race center is located in a prime location on the beach, so the fans and guests enjoy Internationals and the rest of the audience with amazing access to the WRC scene.” Michael Goldstein, CEO of the pool commented.
For his part, Phil Goff, Mayor of Auckland, expects to receive a large crowd during the week of the rally.
“It is great to see such a major international event return to Auckland after the borders were closed for more than two years. The World Rally Championship will attract thousands of guests and spectators to our city center and provide an additional boost to companies affected by restrictions and border closures.”
