New Lube Challenge!
Sebastien Loeb, 48, is clearly not satisfied. Watch his upcoming participation in the DTM Championship events at the wheel of a Ferrari.
The year 2022 is expected to be increasingly busy for Sebastien Loeb. While he is already competing in the World Rally-Raid Championship, which he also tops after two events, as well as the Extreme E event and must once again return to his first love by participating in a few WRC rallies after winning Monte Carlo in January, he is now expected to Be Alsatian in the DTM.
The French driver, who took part in the tests organized last week at Spa-Francorchamps, will already be competing – at least – in two DTM rounds with the AF Corse Ferrari 488 team. The Celestat native will line up in Portimao (April 29 – May 1) and in Lustitzring (20- 22 May) and will replace New Zealander Nick Cassidy, who has also been taken to Formula E and WEC.
“Throughout my career, I have always enjoyed alternating between disciplines. The DTM is a popular tournament, and when I had the opportunity to participate in it, I immediately took it. It’s an exciting challenge because the riding style is so different,” The reaction of the nine-time world champion.
This is a return to the track for Sebastien Loeb who has already twice participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans (where he finished second in 2006) but also in campaigns at FIA GT and then at WTCC from 2013 to 2015.
