New Espace France services in Nogent
Everyday life. Espace France services in Nogent opened to the public in February, and officially opened on Monday 3 October, in the former building of the Treasury.
On Monday, October 3, the new Espace France Services (EFS) headquarters was inaugurated in Nogent, in the presence of several elected officials from the Chaumont Agglomeration and the city of Nogent.
With 2,820 applications processed from February 7 to September 15, “On this site for human-faced users with Laura Robert and Nadia Royer on board, the public has taken over,” noted Anne-Marie Nedelek, the mayor of Nugent who made his headquarters accessible by the Treasury.
Reinvesting the much-appreciated downtown buildings, Etienne Marassi, Grand Est’s regional advisor, did not fail to emphasize this during his speech. For Stefan Martinelli, head of the conglomerate, “This EFS embodies another vision of the conglomerate, it forms a community at the service of users by offering them daily proximity, a public service that meets their needs and a place of life and vitality in the heart of the region”.
The new IT service (see box) expands the existing offer made by its partners: the General Administration of Public Finance, the Employment Center, the Health Insurance Fund, the Agricultural Social Exchange, the National Family Allowance Fund, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of the Interior jointly with the Community Center for Social Work (CCAS) in Nugent. In a passing reference that he pioneered the creation of public service relays, Senator Charles Jenny highlighted this plan of action so that services remain preserved in rural areas by ensuring maximum diversity “It’s the future, and it will thrive again!”.
Proximity and diversity
After Bologna, Chaumont and Froncles, the new Espace France services (EFS) fit perfectly into the Administrative Plan to Improve Services and Accessibility to the Public (SDAASaP). For Anne Cornet, Governor of Haute-Marne, this EFS is a perfect example of the embodiment of this resulting plan of building a local and national ambition. Built on three pillars: continuity of services, accessibility and reception quality, these French service spaces allow users to carry out daily administrative procedures in one place, less than 30 minutes from their homes. At Nogent, attendance is 19 people per day, and needs are there. The goal of covering each canton with at least one French service structure by the end of 2022 is on track, and the department currently has twelve French services and a public service centre. Three are planned in Andelot, Chateauvillain and Arc-en-Barrois and two more are planned in Joinville and Saint-Dizier. It seems that the pillar of regional cohesion is taking.
The digital consultant completes the services at Nogent
Always with the aim of simplifying IT procedures for residents away from digital or ill-equipped technology, the EFS of Nogent will welcome Guillaume Parisel, a digital consultant who will step in on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month. This trained professional will support users in order to make them independent in their daily digital uses. Its first sessions will be held on October 12 and 26, at the Espace France service on the 14th, Place de la Résistance.
