New catering area at Camille Guerin College
The renovation of the catering area at the Camille Guérin College in Saint-Méen-le-Grand has been completed. A one-year work was required to expand the college’s kitchens and catering area at a total cost of €2.2 million, including €1.848 million funded by the Ille-et-Vilaine division.
A dining area more suitable for 430 middle school students
The work made it possible to expand and reorganize the spaces of the half-board: kitchen, preserves, vegetable room, self-catering, dining room, etc. The dining room now has 4 places to accommodate students with special needs. The ground floor of the building in which the boarding school is located has been restructured with the creation of a foyer and classroom. Work began in October 2020 and was completed in early 2022.

The Ille-et-Vilaine department invests in colleges
Preparing for the future of young people and contributing to their academic and personal success is a priority of the department responsible for building, renovating and maintaining public colleges through a multi-year investment program. In 2022, a budget of 37.35 million euros was allocated for these investments. The work of the Camille Guérin High School in Saint-Méen-le-Grand is part of this ambitious plan to restructure, renovate and build the secondary schools of Ille-et-Vilaine, in order to allow the reception and school comfort for all students of the College.
