McLaren Automotive and LEGO team up to create the first ever LEGO Speed Champions double pack
Two of the world’s most iconic brands, McLaren Automotive and LEGO, have teamed up to celebrate 60 years of McLaren with the launch of the first ever exclusive twin-pack of supercars: LEGO Speed Champions.
The collection includes two of the most popular supercars from McLarenand McLaren F1 LM and McLaren Solus GT.
versions Puzzle Games The cars are designed with authentic details from their real-world counterparts, including the limited-edition F1 LM with its signature orange livery, central driving seat and prominent wheel arches of the Solus GT. The Twin Pack also includes two McLaren-branded driver minifigures.
Born from the concept of a virtual gaming world, the Solus GT is a testament to McLaren’s technical innovation and design language. The 581-piece kit also includes a high downforce rear spoiler, making it the perfect addition for any McLaren supercar enthusiast.
Sixty years ago, New Zealand engineer and racer Bruce McLaren founded the McLaren Racing Team, which has since become one of the most recognizable names in motorsport. The team is the only one to win the “Triple Crown of Motorsport” with victories at the Monaco Grand Prix, Indianapolis 500 and 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The LEGO Group and McLaren first joined forces in 2015 and have since created six LEGO Speed Champions McLaren cars and two LEGO Technic McLaren models. To celebrate McLaren’s 60th anniversary and the launch of the first twin pack, designers from both companies recently gathered at LEGO headquarters in Billund, Denmark.
