Theater from 7 years ago —————— The Case of the Rue Lurcine Written by Eugene Labiche Directed by Justine Voltaggio With Oscar Voisin, Antoine Leonard, Justine Voltaggio, Gregory Deti, Nadine Legouro, Gabrielle Houdeau ( Paris 1857), Oscar Lingelome, a wealthy man, wakes up at home still drunk from the day before. His only memory remains the loss of the green umbrella. Thinking he was alone in his room, he is suddenly surprised by a stranger emerging from his bed. The two men soon realized that they had met at a meal organized the previous day by the Labadin group to which they belonged. These two scoundrels are trying to piece together their evening when they learn in the newspaper that a coal miner was found murdered in the night and that a green umbrella was found at the scene of the crime. A funny, dramatic – or comic-dramatic – fast-paced story in which misunderstandings plunge the characters into absurdity and extravagance and take on disproportionate proportions. The press speaks of it: “In an hour, they do not let you breathe for a second.” It is “La Beche’s talent and theatrical prowess that will carry you away.” And simply makes you rediscover the classic work.” The Paris Match “Justine Voltaggio masterfully climbs L’Affaire de la rue de Lourcine.” Book Le Figaro PMR: 01 39 71 59 33
