In Cognac, science for all is at the heart of the cities

This operation, the last of the summer, available to all, free of charge and without registration, is carried out in the departments of Cognac during the school holidays by the local teams of the “Petits débrouillards”, a national association network of popular education that operates outside or in addition to the formal education systems.

“Its goal is to transform the usual playground for young people and families who do not have access to cultural and scientific recreational activities into a true open-air experimental laboratory,” Credits to Audrey Gill, coordinator and network animator.

As for the topics, they are open, from the environment to health, through sports or even planning. “Each time a material or building is designed that enhances the area and the discoveries being made,” confirms Audrey Gill.

In this last session, sports were in the spotlight, particularly through body, movement and the elements discussed on Tuesday during an introduction to… Electricity during the delicate manual games workshop, which enabled the children present to learn the basics together.
