How to unlock access to Old Vanilla Monastery in WoW? – World of Warcraft

Hallow’s End comes with a nice surprise from Blizzard. In fact, WoW players can gain full access to the old version of the Scarlet Monastery and thus enter the four wings of the vanilla version of the instance. Here’s the procedure to follow 😉

Arrive at the Scarlet Vanilla Monastery

During Laylat al-Qadr:

1. Line up to face the Headless Horseman.
2. Kill him and loot the pumpkin full of loot.
3. Open the pumpkin, it has a chance to contain the Crimson Key. The Headless Horseman hard mode looks more generous, so activate it (see below).
4. Once the key is in your bag, head to the Scarlet Monastery in Tirisfal Glades.
5. Just before entering the Grand Hallway, you’ll see a set of switches on your left. It allows you to start a quest.
6. Validate the quest and presto, it’s over! To access the old dungeons, click on the keychain. An orange “Crimson Key” will appear at the top of the screen, which means that by going through the portals, you will get into the old version of the dungeons, including those blocked by the door.
7. If you want to return to the modern version of the dungeon, tap the keychain again to remove the orange color.

Access is account linked, so you only need to do this once for all your characters!

How to activate the Headless Horseman Hard Mode?

When entering the instance, turn left. You will see 4 small and 1 large wreck. Click on the little scum and activate curses. It makes the battle more difficult because you have to avoid AoEs and curses.

A priori, and it worked for me, I activated the four curses to greatly increase your chances of recovering the Crimson Key.
