How to secure access to your FranceConnect to avoid hacking
You may have already come across FranceConnect on the Internet. This solution proposed by the state simplifies communication with hundreds of administrative sites. If you want to declare a lost passport, order a Vitale card, refer to the remaining points on your license or simulate retirement, simply use your connection codes to the tax website or to Ameli.fr for authentication.
FranceConnect allows you to perform multiple actions online without having to create a new account each time. A practical tool, but it can also be dangerous. If one of your accounts is compromised, it could become the key to accessing hundreds of online services, as the hacking spree targeting health insurance with the Vitale card scam last year demonstrated.
In this new episode of Digital Golden Rule, we explain how to secure your tax and health insurance accounts, as well as your main mailbox in order to reduce the risk of one of your accesses to FranceConnect being hacked.
