Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro: 5 features to remember from the new smartphones

Automatic copying of messages
If you are a user of voice notes, or rather a recipient of such voice messages, then this function is of interest to you. Google includes an automatic message transcription function on the Pixel 7 series, which is very useful when you don’t have headphones on hand, and you don’t want your entire subway car enjoying your personal stories. The functionality, which was announced in the Pixel 7, is likely to be reserved for them, and it will only be released in the Google Message app. However, the company notes that it is working on its integration with third-party messaging services, such as WhatsApp.
Blur removal suffix on your photos
Only for Pixel 7 – and for the future Pixel tablet – This function uses the skills of the Tensor G2 chip built into the smartphones. It’s called Anti Blur, and it promises to remove noticeable motion blur on shots stored in Google Photos, and from the mobile app installed on the Pixel 7. The new version of the night vision mode

As you may have noticed, many of the new features offered by the Tensor G2 chip are related to image capture. Thus, Google invokes Super Res Zoom (high-resolution zoom in French) which piqued our curiosity, as it promises a zoom of up to 30x with limited loss of detail. We know the effectiveness of the 2x digital zoom offered on previous generations of the Pixel (and again on the standard Pixel 7), but Google intends to go further this year, combining shots taken with the different sensors and offering framing assistance, very useful when zooming. higher.
Selfies with help
Google largely respects inclusivity – we’re especially thinking about the True Tone functionality – but also accessibility. Thus, the Pixel 7 benefits from a self-assist system that promises to help the blind and visually impaired take selfies without outside help, through voice guidance.
These are of course not the only functions that we will have to evaluate inside the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. Voice assistant integration with messaging, cinematic mode in video, macro and ultra-wide-angle mode with autofocus (on the Pro model) and face unlock are all things we’ll be examining during our testing.
