GARD Unîmes has been selected to participate in TwitchCon 2023

The first French university to launch its Twitch channel in March 2021, Unîmes has been selected to participate in TwitchCon 2023. A major international event that brings together content creators, gamers and streaming fans, TwitchCon will take place in Paris on July 8-9.

In the spring of 2021, the University of Nimes bets on investing in the broadcasting platform Twitch in order to communicate differently with the general public: longer and interactive online formats with a freedom of tone that allows topics to be approached differently. By hosting a conference on science mediation on the Twitch streaming platform that will highlight networking and efforts to make science accessible to all, the University of Nîmes will be one of the players at TwitchCon 2023.”The selection of the University of Nîmes to participate in TwitchCon 2023 is an acknowledgment of the originality of its approach, its commitment to the dissemination of scientific knowledge and its desire to encourage dialogue between the scientific community and the general public.Nîmes University points out in a press release.

On this occasion, the leaders of the Unîmes project, the only higher education institution present in this grouping, will share their experiences and present innovative projects aimed at promoting the dissemination of scientific knowledge and research work in society. After the conference, the University of Nimes will present an interactive platform where visitors can discover various activities related to science mediation.

Participants will have the opportunity to interact with the creators of Unmes, take part in interactive quizzes, and discuss students and teachers who are passionate about spreading science. This place will provide a unique educational experience, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of science and learning.
