Forza Horizon 5: Event Lab 2 arrives in a free update | Xbox One
Forza Horizon 5 will celebrate its second anniversary in November, and the game continues to deliver content regularly. Very soon, this will be a free update that will be published by the developers to bring important news to the Event Lab mode.
New creative possibilities in Forza Horizon 5
Today Kelly Boyle, senior game designer at Playgroud Games, details the new features of what the studio is calling Event Lab 2.0. This is a list of new features that will make it possible to create crazier modes, or will make them easier to create. Details here.
The first big new feature concerns the arrival of an advanced multi-object selection tool to reduce build time. This also allows you to select multiple objects to create an object and save that combination for later reuse. This object is then available in the list and can be shared with the community. It can be any shape, slope, building or even a boat, the possibilities are almost endless.
Playgroud Games has also added the ability to create custom posts. Concretely, it’s about taking a photo and using it as the cover for the personal event we’ve created, making it stand out from others on the list.
New objects have been added to further customize generated events. We find, for example, the gas pump cover, but also different basic shapes to give more creative freedom to players. The developers have also added an option to perfectly align certain objects to each other such as walls or fences.
One of the biggest novelties in Event Lab 2 is called EventLab Island, a new environment whose goal is nothing more than to create a “revolution” in the game mode. A large square of 2km x 2km is placed on the perimeter with markings on the floor to arrange things more easily. But above all, this environment will allow you to place many objects, allowing you to create events that are more visually complex than ever before.
This Forza Horizon 5 update with Event Lab 2.0 will be available on Xbox, Windows, and Steam starting Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
