Fork Library, an open space for everyone
Two days a week, the structure welcomes readers.
The municipal library is located on the first floor of the country house. It has two separate and cozy venues, one equipped with wooden toys, CDs and books for young children, and the other offering a selection of books of all genres, including the latest authors.
Bathed in a bright and comfortable environment, it is also a convenient place for meetings and exchanges. Reading lovers or not, everyone can find what they are looking for.
The computer database includes more than 5,000 books and documents (novels, thrillers, documentaries, biographies, comics). In order to better satisfy the audience, members have the possibility to order titles or authors that do not appear on the shelves.
Very active, the association regularly organizes various events around reading or theater.
“Volunteers put a lot of their time and energy to satisfy this public service, they ensure the operation and continuity twice a week. We also receive schoolchildren every Friday. In the digital age, it is important to arouse the joy of reading in children and open them up to the culture”Natalie Palta, president of the association, explains. The library is closed in the summer Saturday 9th July. Until then, members are invited to borrow the books they need within two months of closing.
