Iron Man Group announced today that the Finnish city of Lahti has secured its right to the IRONMAN® 70.3® World Championship. It will be held in 2023. The two-day event will take place on August 26 and 27, 2023.

This is the third time that the Iron Man 70.3 World Championship has been held on European soil, after Zell am See-Kaprun (Austria) in 2015 and Nice (France) in 2019.

The election was announced today on a worldwide broadcast in which Finnish sports stars celebrated the victory alongside Iron Man figures.

Lahti is located about 100 kilometers northeast of the state capital, Helsinki, the northernmost and easternmost capital of Europe.
