Eye. Science Festival: Let’s Get Started!
After a 2020 edition organized in a reduced format due to the health crisis, this new edition promises to be rich in discoveries and, as always, free and intended for audiences of all ages.
For the duration of this science festival, 61 events will be presented in about twenty municipalities. With these different themes, more than a dozen companies are participating this year for the first time in the Fête de la Science dans l’Ain.
Thus, La Tannerie Concert Hall in Bourg was revealed backstage on Wednesday October 6th. The waste treatment site La Tienne will be visited on Saturday 2 and Wednesday 6 October, which will make it possible to discover the operation of the methane plant.
The Maison de l’eau et de la Nature, in Pont-de-Vaux, is planning several activities that create the forest and trees between October 8 and 12.
Four scientific villages are located in the section

in Ambérieu-en-Bugey , Saturday 9th October, is the water village that will take place from 10 am to 6:30 pm to take a dip in the ocean thanks to the virtual reality headsets. The water bar will allow you to taste the different waters and you will have to try to get to know them. Younger ones won’t be forgotten with a creative workshop that allows them to draw with ice cubes or discover sensory tools (10am – 12:30pm). The Water Emptying Workshop is offered to perform the “Praise of Water” 12-year-olds (recordings before October 8 at 07 69 93 09 92).
Secrets of Silk, Discovery of Underground Worlds and an Exposition of Fossils will revive the village of Oyonnax on Saturday October 9th. In the majestic setting of the gardens of the Château de Voltaire, the village of Ferney-Voltaire will be one of science but also of biodiversity and will also present, on Saturday 9 October, about thirty activities.
Two screenings at the Ciné Festival on October 7 will allow you to discover an animated film, Ride Your Wave, at 6.30pm and the documentary Marcher sur l’eau at 8:45pm. Four exhibitions are presented until October 11 at MJC.
in Oyonnax The concert will take place on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 October (for school children) and Saturday 9 October (from 10 am) to the general public at the Aragon Cultural Center.
