Downer Eddy Ltd. appoints Sheridan Broadbent as Non-Executive Director, effective 1 October 2023.

Downer EDI Limited has announced the appointment of Sheridan Broadbent as a Non-Executive Director effective 1 October 2023. Ms Broadbent joins Downer as an Independent Director. Ms. Broadbent is currently the Non-Executive Director of Spark New Zealand, Manawa Energy (NZSX:MNW), and Vice Chair of the Health and Safety New Zealand Business Leaders Forum.

Ms. Broadbent was previously Chair of the Kordia Group, a Non-Executive Director of Transpower, the Kaingaroa Timberlands and Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Authority, and a member of the New Zealand Government’s Cyber ​​Security Advisory Committee. Previously Managing Director of Counties Power, Ms. Broadbent previously held several senior management positions in the power, telecom and engineering sectors, including Downer in Australia and New Zealand from 2007 to 2011. Ms. Broadbent holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland and is a graduate Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and the Australian Institute of Corporate Directors. She is also a charter member of the Institute of Directors of New Zealand.
