Discover the most beautiful images captured by the James Webb Space Telescope
Over the past weeks, the world’s most powerful telescope has revealed images of never before seen galaxies and nebulae with such accuracy.
It should help to better understand “The Story of Astral Creation”. Launched into space at the end of 2021 and operational since July, the James Webb Telescope has revealed impressive images of Jupiter, nebulae and distant galaxies over the course of weeks, providing scientists with a wealth of unprecedented data to analyze. The James Webb Telescope was born as a result of cooperation between the American, European and Canadian space agencies, and is the most powerful in the world. Its observations are taking place 1.5 million kilometers from Earth.
On Tuesday, September 6, scientists revealed new images showing the Tarantula Nebula, a region of the universe in which stars are born at a rapid pace. Located 161,000 light-years from Earth, it is home to the most famous and densest stars. Several instruments aboard James Webb have made it possible to capture new details, hitherto not visible to previous telescopes. Franceinfo takes this opportunity to bring you the most beautiful shots taken by James Webb since its launch.
