Diabetes District Opening Conference

Diabetes District Opening Conference

On the occasion of the opening of its branch in the city of Mentinon, Espace Diabetes will organize 28 conferences on Saturday entitled “Diet and Well-being”.

Since its inception in 2013, the Espace Diabetes 28 Association, managed by patients and supported by health professionals, has aimed to showcase the disease and raise public awareness through the dissemination of information. The association also aims to support and help diabetics and those around them. It also organizes conferences in order to communicate the procedures and behaviors that must be followed to prevent the disease to as many people as possible.

“To meet the needs, we are opening a branch in Mentenon, where our reporter and association member, Laurent Troyot, lives,” explains Rosen Campore, the association’s coordinator nurse. This antenna will provide, among other things, group walking tours and conferences throughout the year. Saturday’s event hosts, Emily Colas, dietitian, and Eric Damoiso, athletic trainer, will focus their entertainment on two themes: Diet First with Seasonal Vegetables and End-of-Year Meals. The other will focus on the importance of physical activity.

It will also be an opportunity to present the activity of the association. “After the conference, those willing will be able to discuss with the speakers, but they will also be shown,” Rosen Kambur identifies.

Practice. Saturday 15 October, 3 pm, in the Cèdre room at the Maison des Association, 45, rue René-et-Jean-Lefèvre, Pierres.
