Tell us about your trip in a few words. What brought you to DGE?
I have always wanted to work in the public sector because I have an appetite for topics of public interest. After several internships and assignments at the Quai d’Orsay and Center Georges Pompidou (where I work on the first project to create the French Museum in Shanghai) and a short stint in a recruiting firm, I worked for a few years at the National Agency for Personal Services, a public administration enterprise under Percy as responsible Versatile connections. In 2014, she arrived at the Dubai eGovernment, first as Head of Publications, and then as Head of Publications and Events. In 2018, I became an assistant responsible for editorial strategy, events and campaigns.
What do you love most about your job?
Many things ! First of all, the diversity of topics and projects that I work on, thanks to the broad spectrum of Dubai e-Government interventions. I am also working on structural projects, more or less in the long term, such as the promotion of systems carried out within the framework of programs such as France Relance or the promotion of the attractiveness of industrial and tourism professions, but also on “turnarounds”, more specific, such as the production of content on DMA regulations and European DSA or Tools in the Context of the Energy Crisis.
Then the communication function by itself. No two days are the same: one day I can be on a group, the next at an event, or in the office for more traditional project coordination or management tasks. I also love the inherent “rush” action of communication, we are the last link in the chain on a project, so you need to be reactive and know how to adapt to the constraints and schedules of other departments. Sometimes it’s stressful, but it’s often motivating!
I also appreciated the atmosphere of our office (100% female!), which has a very good team spirit! I manage 5 people in this office, I make sure everyone is busy, I advise, I accompany, I judge… I really love this aspect of my job.
