How to Play Blackjack
Blackjack is a simple card game, whereby the game is to reach as close to 21 points as possible with the cards you are dealt. You only have to try and beat the dealer, and you mustn’t go over 21 points (known as going bust).
The classic blackjack payouts to remember are that blackjack pays 3:2, a regular win pays 1:1, an insurance bet pays 2:1, and a tie/draw would result in a push (you would get your initial stake returned without winning or losing any money).
In blackjack, the cards are worth their face value. Therefore, being dealt a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 is worth 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 points, respectively. An Ace is worth 1 or 11 points, and the Kings, Queens and Jacks (picture cards) are each worth 10 points.
