Black geometric house surrounded by New Zealand nature
This black and geometric house of 158 square meters was designed by the architect Anna Marie ChenIn collaboration with its owner Tom. Tom’s house was voted ‘Tiny House of the Year 2016’ (not too small…). It is a home of unique lines, set amidst New Zealand nature, with great views of an environment of raw beauty. An asymmetrical gable running diagonally at one end harmonizes with the backdrop of The Remarkables mountain range to the east.
With its landscape-facing glass design, it provides an immersive experience and invites residents to enjoy the outdoors whatever the season. Its interior design is made of natural materials and light colors that contrast with the black used in its facade. It is a house that has a very contemporary look and fits in with its environment without clashing with it.
