interview – The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and the rapporteur of the renaissance of the nuclear law provided an update on the main planned measures.
Le Figaro. – What are the most important procedures stipulated in the invoice?
Maud Pregon. – The goal is clear: to accelerate the revival of nuclear energy and the construction of new reactors without compromising safety, in line with the commitments of the President of the Republic in Balfour. Concretely, non-nuclear island work could start a year or two earlier. As in other sectors, over the years we have added administrative restrictions and legal standards. It is time to give ourselves the means of our ambitions. This text is also a powerful message. Finally, we remove the ceiling that limits the share of nuclear energy to 50% in the electricity mix, introduced by François Hollande, the first president to question this national pioneer.
