Adesanya remains a lightweight king, and Volkanovski remains untouchable
The naturalized New Zealander and the Australian kept their belts last night in Las Vegas.

And in Las Vegas, the Nigerian naturalized New Zealander defeated American Jared Kannoner by unanimous decision. If he didn’t kick him out, friend Francis Ngannou dominated his opponent in the Octagon (49-46, 49-46, 50-45) after making a bid when he entered the T-Mobile Arena, as usual.
The undisputed light heavyweight king (23 consecutive class wins), Adesanya suffered failure in 2021 by attacking the light heavyweight belt, which was defeated by Poland’s Jan Błachowicz. UFC 276, in the same category, was featured by Alex Pereira’s superb knockout against Sean Strickland. Pereira could soon have a “title shot” against Adesanya. The two men know each other because they are boxing fighters. The Brazilian also won twice, including once by knockout, against the future UFC champion. Also note Alexander Volkanovsky winning by unanimous decision against Max Holloway for 4e Defending the featherweight title despite a broken hand. The Australian remained undefeated in the UFC (12-0).
