A double shooting left two people dead in Rotterdam, police said

On Thursday (September 28), an armed man wearing combat gear opened fire in an apartment in Rotterdam before storming a nearby medical centre. Dutch police said two people were dead and a teenage girl was in an absolute emergency. “We will inform the family and relatives first and we will provide further clarifications later.”We can read On the X platform (formerly Twitter).
A 32-year-old man was arrested under the helipad of the Erasmus Medical Center in the center of the Netherlands’ second-largest city. “We believe he acted alone.”, determines the Dutch police. Local news agency ANP, citing police, also reported that the motive behind the attack remains unknown.
Video footage at the scene showed people leaving the hospital, including doctors, as policemen from elite units wearing bulletproof vests entered. Fires also broke out in both places but were extinguished.
