Former President Arrives in Milwaukee for Republican Convention

Joe Biden: “We are blessed to live in the best country in the world. And I believe that with all my soul, with all my being. So tonight, I ask all Americans to recommit to America. (…) Everyone should be treated with dignity, and there should be no refuge for disrespect and hate here in America. We need to come out of our bubbles. We only listen to those we agree with, misinformation is rampant, foreign actors have fanned the flames of our division to shape outcomes that are in their interests, not ours. (…) From the beginning, our founders understood the power of passion. So they created a democracy and gave reason and balance a chance to prevail over brute force. This is America. We must be an American democracy where arguments are made in good faith. In an American democracy, the rule of law is respected, and decency and dignity and fair play are not simple, outdated concepts, but living realities. (…) Let us never lose sight of who we are. Let us never forget that we are the United States of America. Nothing, nothing, nothing is beyond our capabilities when we stand up for ourselves.” We do it together.
