Marvel’s Blade exclusive to Xbox and PC? It’s not Disney who decides Xbox One

This year, the Game Awards were largely marked by Xbox hardware. The manufacturer has finally revealed the gameplay of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Marvel’s Blade and OD (Overdose), Hideo Kojima’s game. Regarding the Arkane Lyon-developed game Marvel’s Blade, many are wondering if it will be exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem. Today we can learn more about this.

It’s up to Bethesda to decide whether Marvel’s Blade will be exclusive or not

Axios journalist Stephen Totilo was able to interview Sean Shoptaw, Disney’s head of gaming. Thus, User X was quick to ask him if he was able to raise the topic of the possible uniqueness of Marvel’s Blade.

Contrary to what some people think, Bethesda is making this decision, not Disney.

We spoke before the project was announced. He’s just hinting that I’ll hear about another dream project coming from the studio in question more than Disney (like Indie too). But the revelation came a few hours later. When I followed up, Disney told me that this was a question for Bethesda

So it would be a surprise if Marvel’s Blade is also available on platforms other than Xbox and PC consoles. Let’s also remember that Machine Games, the studio to which we owe the latest Wolfenstein game, is currently working on Indiana Jones, another Disney license.

The latter should also be exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem, according to Pete Hines’ comments during the hearings between Microsoft and the Federal Trade Commission, as part of the acquisition of Activision Blizzard King.

We’ll definitely have to be patient for Xbox and Bethesda to make an official decision on the exclusive mode for Marvel’s Blade, as the game is still early in its development. See you in a few years!
