The idea is to bring caregivers together to pool their needs.”“, confirms Emmanuel Bédin. This is the first discussion group in a long series. We hope so. It is a space of expression so that caregivers can express the difficulties they face and meet other people who find themselves in the same situation as them. It allows us to exchange experiences. It is open to everyone, to daycare families, but also outside, in the village, so everyone can participate.“, confirms the director of the Foundation for the Accommodation of Dependent Elderly (Ehpad), Virginie Lavage.

Who is represented in these discussion groups? “Generally, having worked there before, they are children or spouses. Armandi had the idea of taking advantage of the day to present this space. This is a small opportunity to identify needs. We don’t know if there will be anything. I think so “, explains Emmanuel Bédin. It’s not a support group yet. It is a space for gathering. This can lead to us suggesting we meet regularly and this is where it becomes a discussion group Virginie Lavage added:This first meeting is a discussion space that will lead to further meetings which will be discussion groups and in these groups users will select programs“.” There may be topics. But it is important to keep in mind that this will remain confidential and will be free“says Emmanuel Bédin.” Health professionals are required to maintain confidentialityDirector Virginie Lavage adds. This implementation occurs, because there is a need identified in the territory “.
