Art and Culture: Open days in the new HeadMade Factory space
HeadMade Factory (HMF) is a structure that supports artistic projects and opened its doors in 2010. After a series of events*, HMF opened a space dedicated to contemporary creativity in the visual arts in and on St. Maarten.
Art KclOb (TAK) by HMF, located at Marigot, 8 Concordia Street, at the beginning of the street leading to EDF, will open its doors to the general public, artists, art professionals, art lovers and collectors, but also simply to the curious.
This place dedicated to culture and art offers two days open to artists and the public, on Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30, 3023, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Initiated by artist and founder of HeadMade Factory, Florence Poirier-Nkpa, this new space is a completely renovated old cottage. There it houses his workshop, HMF offices, as well as a space dedicated to temporary exhibitions, and a garden to host cultural and artistic events.
On the evening of Saturday, September 30, Menelik Arnel will perform his latest songs. This young singer from St. Maarten embodies the island’s eclectic culture with a sound that blends rap and Afrobeat.
Florence Poirier-Nkpa will also present the past and future activities of the HMF, and will announce the winner of its first call for applications launched last August.
These open days will welcome visitors into the heart of a space for exchange with artists who want to participate in the dynamic of professional creativity.
