While researching a beta version of WhatsApp for Android, the site spotted testing the new messaging feature. As explained by WABetaInfo, the beta users involved in this test will have the possibility to schedule calls in WhatsApp groups. The interface allows you to select a date and time, specify the subject of the call.

Once the call is scheduled, it appears in the group chat. Other members have the option to join this scheduled call or not. Those who decide to join receive a reminder 15 minutes before this call begins.

But at the moment it is not known when this beta-tested function will be introduced to all users.

Suitable for meetings

Since WhatsApp is a consumer app, scheduled calls can be used, for example, to schedule a small meeting between friends to schedule events or vacations.
