Tôtout’Arts needs space for its activities
“A very good year for the cultural and social center Totout’Arts: a new team of staff charged with vitality and ideas, many new members of all ages, and the reception of more and more people with difficulties, disabilities or fragility. Following this observation, we set up a social tariff that enabled new members benefit from our activities. So far, we have a total of more than 500 members.” explains Nathalie Duval, head of the cultural center, with a wide smile.
Satisfied with the development of the center with new projects certainly to start the academic year with a key point: the main social project of “To be approved as a social center, because every four years we have to rewrite a project to renew our approval. We organize many meetings to think about the areas of work that will be created for these new four years.”
Warm atmosphere as evidenced by the success of Tôtout’Arts’ end-of-season party, with over 200 people who enjoyed talking and getting to know each other better.
However, there is still a major problem for the association, which is the lack of space at the local level which restricts the development of new activities, an exorbitant rent that forces the center to move from two buildings to one. “We are always looking for a place even to renovate to be able to settle down and more interesting at the municipal level: the union of several social associations. The dream: a social center in the city center”, adds Pierre-Guillaume Chertier, Director of the Social and Cultural Centre.
