Starfield: AMD unveils 4K, 1440p and 1080p PC configurations | Xbox One

Starfield is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of the year. While the title will be available in September, new PC configurations have just been revealed.

New PC specs for Starfield

If last June we discovered the PC configurations of Starfield via its Steam page, today it seems that the title will finally be more greedy than expected.
AMD
He just revealed the recommended configurations for playing the game, this time with details on the level of quality envisaged.

To play in 4K “without compromise”, an RX 7900 XT graphics card and a Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor will be required. If you want to enjoy the game at 1440p, you will need the RX 6800 and Ryzen 7 7700X series, while the RX 7600 and Ryzen 5 7600 should be enough to play at 1080p.

So it looks like the game will eventually be more CPU intensive than expected since the Steam page initially recommended a Ryzen 5 3600X or i5-10600K accompanied by an RX 6800 XT in the recommended configuration.

What about DLSS and Nvidia cards?

If you’re a PC gamer, you probably have an RTX card from Nvidia and rely on the company’s features, like DLSS, to grab more frames.

Unfortunately, the game being marketed by AMD, we don’t know at the moment if it will offer DLSS 2 or DLSS 3 frame generation. We hope to learn more about it soon, and it will also be interesting to see if it will be able to integrate the GeForce service Now when released.
