This Sunday, under the auspices of the French Cycling Federation, the events of Jannat sport are organizing the Ronde du bassin Sioule Limagne 2023, a race dedicated to juniors from all French regions with the Belgian Isorex team, for the first time. The accompaniment of the Gannat City Council, several Com’com communes, the Allier constituency, the Aura region and several private partners made it possible to organize this competition.

95 runners

For this 2023 event, it will be 95 riders instead of 70 in 2022 at the start, split into 16 teams instead of 12, with Swiss, Australian, New Zealand, Estonian and Belgian riders.

The Municipal Children’s Council has joined in this cycling promotion, inviting schoolchildren from Jannat to take part in the cycling event.

To ensure safety, the racers will be supervised by 20 cyclists from the “Moto Bike Passion” association, WHO mentors, about a hundred Gannat and Union Cycliste Gannatoise volunteers and Bellerive Sport cyclists following its president Noël Geneste, 75, a figure in national cycling. Indeed, Noel participated, among others, in the Tours of France and Spain, Paris-Nice and achieved 250 victories. This circle will remind him of his victory in the Junior Championship Auvergne 0 Gnet in 1966!

10 o’clock : team time (14 km); Teams depart every three minutes on the following route: Ébreuil, Saint-Bonnet-de-Rochefort, Mazerier and Gannat. The first team is scheduled to arrive at 10:20 a.m. at the Eugene-Bannier School.
13 hours: Cartoon riding bicycles for school children. 2:30 p.m.: Road Race (102km); Start / finish (Eugène-Bannier) on the following route: 25.5 km loop to be covered 4 times between Gannat-Bègues-Ebreuil-Saint-Bonnet-de-Rochefort-Mazerier-Gannat.
5:30 p.m.: Presentation of awards.
