macOS 13.3 is in the latest version: bug fixes in the software

The final version of macOS 13.3 is now available. This update introduces some new features and fixes several bugs.

like in iOS 16.4 is coming at the same time, showing 21 additional emojis. There is a trembling man’s head, a donkey, a goose, a wing, a jellyfish, a whistling, a flute, a maracas, five high hands, hearts in new colors …

Some new emojis and a new “dim flash” option

iCloud Shared Photo Library users now have a Duplicate album where duplicate photos and videos are listed. Suitable for quick sorting. A new accessibility option, Dim Flashes, dims strongly blinking videos so as not to disturb people who are sensitive to strong effects.

The remaining changes mainly consist of adaptations for regional languages and bug fixes. Among the issues that have been corrected are trackpad gestures that are suddenly no longer recognized – this prompted the developer to create a small demo while waiting for a proper resolution.

The problem that prevented VoiceOver from working after using the Finder is ancient history. Also, Apple didn’t mention it in the release notes, but SMB file sharing works fine again.

Also, Apple offers Studio Display firmware version 16.4 (but no release notes, so we don’t know yet what’s behind this update).
