The Google Pixel 4 and all devices after it now take advantage of a very useful feature for their battery, which is adaptive charging. The latter aims to extend the long-term autonomy and durability of your battery, thanks to the gradual recharging system used during the night.

To take advantage of it, it was necessary until then to respect some small conditions: activating the function mentioned within the parameters at the beginning, but also configuring the alarm between 3 am and 10 am. As a result, adaptive charging can begin automatically between 9pm and 4am.

Except that according to a journalist from 9to5Google, it will not be necessary to configure an alarm for the adaptive load to work. In fact, the person in question saw his Pixel 7 activate said function, even though he’s not using his phone as an alarm clock — but his Pixel Watch, whose alarm isn’t synced to the smartphone.

On the screen of his Pixel 7 it says “Adaptive Charging – Full by 7.00 AM”. In other words, the adaptive charge was already active, for a full recharge scheduled for 7 am. At this very time the journalist usually wakes up. Note: Bedtime mode is not selected.
