Malakai Fekitoa sign in Italy!
New Zealand’s three-quarter international midfielder Malakai Fiketowa will expire on his contract with Munster next June.
The former Club Toulonie rugby player will not be retained by the Irish province.
In his search for a club for several weeks, Malakai Fekitoa has found a new sporting challenge to take on.
In fact, the 30-year-old signed up for Italian club Treviso for the next two seasons with an additional optional year, that is, until June 2026.
This is perhaps the most famous signature in the history of Benetton. Treviso formalized the information on Thursday.
Malakai Fekitoa explained his decision to join Treviso. Extracts:
“I am very excited to join the club next season. My family and I are very grateful for this opportunity. It is a new challenge for me in my career and I can’t wait to do my best and play well for Benetton Rugby, and meet up with my friends who I have played with in the past. The team plays an exciting game of rugby And I want to be a part of it. I hope I can contribute to the club both on and off the field.”
Antonio Pavanello, director of rugby at Tévise, expressed his great satisfaction. Extracts:
“Signing Fikitoa is a step forward for the club. I want to say that the credit for this signing goes to the whole company and to everyone who works there. Because choosing Malakai is due to our growing sporting advantages and also to our structure, which can certainly ascend to the stage of the greatest.
