Utah reported 22 new deaths from COVID-19 and 686 new cases

The number of COVID-19 cases in Utah remains below four figures, with 686 cases reported on Saturday. This represents two weeks when the number of daily cases is less than 1,000.

The state recorded 22 new deaths from the virus, but 12 men and 10 women. The Utah Department of Health said 19 deaths occurred before February 6.

• Seven from Salt Lake County, two men aged 65 to 84 years; Five women are between 65 and 84 years old.

Four Washington County, one man and one woman over 85; Two men between 65 and 84.

Three Utah County, man over 85; And two women are between 65 and 84.

• Two from Beaver County, a man over 85 and a man between 65 and 84 years old

• Two from Emery County, woman over 85; And a man between 65 and 84 years old.

• Two from Weber County, two men between 45 and 64 years old.

• One from Kach county, woman between 65 and 84

• One from Davis County, man between 65 and 84 years old.

Last day hospital admissions were reported. 223, eight less than Friday. Of those currently receiving treatment, 89 are in intensive care units – five fewer than on Friday.

The tests were reported in the last day. 6,752 people tested for the first time. A total of 17,724 people were tested.

Percentage of positive tests According to the state’s original method, the average seven day trader is 12.2%.

The state’s new method counts all test results, including repeated tests for the same individual. The seven day moving average is now at 5.5%.
