Beautiful surprises will come at the beginning of the year, which will be characterized by a multiplicity of artistic disciplines, between theatre, music, dance and, of course, puppets, or even the circus. Follow the guide!

The 2023 premiere, “Le Lac des cygnes,” by the L’Éolienne company, which will take place on Tuesday January 10th, at 8:30pm, is already a victim of its own success since it’s sold out. It must be said that this contemporary version of Tchaikovsky’s legendary ballet was devilishly desirable. Much of the plebiscite’s credit goes to the arrangement provided by composer and choreographer Florence Cayon, who created a lake of five circus dancers who form a dizzying community of white and black swans.

After this poetic warm-up, Espace Jéliote invites you to a meeting, over two days, with pianist Aurélie Samani. Friday January 20 (6 pm) and Saturday January 21 (10 am; 2:30 pm; 6 pm) will present for free, in the Barétous Roncal d’Arette room, a somewhat special master class, because it will be the audience who will choose the musical menu for each session!

Memory of the statues

Friday, January 27th, at 8:30 pm, back to Espace Jéliote with Le Liquidambar, who will present “La Part des anges”. Puppet creativity that settles in the sculptor’s workshop. Backstage circus

On February 9, 10 and 11, the circus troupe will perform from its tent, which will take place in the parking lot of the Saint-Pée ​​stadium. An appointment not to be missed, because this circus show that contrasts with the “traditional” circus to reconnect with the technical requirements, the gesture has been repeated a thousand times to be perfect.

And to prolong the experience, the company will also open its release on Friday, February 10, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm, to visit behind the scenes of the circus, accompanied by the artistic director and founder of the company. With such a program, 2023 could start off well.
