Fractal Design unveils its latest portfolio for high-end and mid-range desktops, discreetly called Fractal Design North. There are no flashy RGB effects here to be noticed, rather the use of wood for the slats on the front, in this case walnut or oak.
You can see it on the pictures, apart from the use of wood, this Fractal Design North tray is very traditional. Rectangular in shape, it measures 447 x 215 x 469 mm. The version with mesh side panel weighs 7.6kg, version with tempered glass side panel, it weighs more than 100g. The chassis accepts ATX / mATX / Mini-ITX motherboards. The length of the GPU must not exceed 300mm with the radiator 360mm front mounted and 355mm otherwise. For the cooler, the space in height is 145mm or 170mm depending on the presence of the fan. In terms of fans, the grille tray can accommodate a total of 8120mm or 6140mm, while the TG tray (Tempered glass) reduces these quantities to 6 and 4, respectively.

You’ll see with the technical sheets below, there are many discrepancies between the Fractal Design North and TG grille, in terms of cooling in particular. Front connectors on all cases include a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port and a pair of USB 3.0 ports and audio ports.
