Under development, Renault Austral Espace’s futuristic seven-seater is surprising
Renault Espace is dead, long live Renault Espace! A time called Grand Austral by the auto press, the future seven-seater Renault Austral should adopt the space name. This is in order to pay homage to the legendary minivan from Losange, and above all to place Austral with Seven Places as one of its worthy descendants.
Under development by Renault At the time of writing, this new Austral Espace spy photographers were surprised during tests in Spain. The photo hunters only had a few seconds to photograph the SUV, which exited a truck before immediately returning to it.
Longer wheelbase for SUVs
Hidden under heavy camouflage, this Austral Espace’s body seemed to be as long as the body of the Fifth Espace. So a third row of seats must be added on the plane, in order to provide two additional places. According to our informants, the wheelbase can be extended by 7 or 8 centimeters. The front of the SUV can also be different from the five-seater model. Under the hood, expect hybrid drives as in the base Austral.
The official presentation of the new Renault Austral Espace is expected at the beginning of 2023.
