Lézignan-Corbières: Espace Gibert hosted his last pre-summer classic

The baroque trio concluded the mid-season for the cultural association that is now preparing for its summer festival.

It was a concert attended by many spectators despite the surrounding heat wave, which did not discourage the loyal audience of Maison Gibert. Joël Pons, a regular in the building, was on the cello along with his Trio Baroque assistants, Jean Ané on the double bass, and Carole Parer on the ukulele. The three perform Vivaldi: “One of the first composers to take the cello from his role as a continuator of the basso, admittedly an honorable one, to become a solo instrument.Dot copies of old instruments, cello, double bass, and harpsichord despite the special circumstances of the moment, due to the high temperatures that make them accurate and repetitive to tune the strings. For the rest of Gibert’s annual program, we’ll have to wait until early July with the first music evening of summer, outdoors in the courtyard, by the group with Brazilian repertoire Dona Ana Samba (July 7 9:30 p.m. Entry is free. In the meantime, the public was invited to discover the current exhibition of six artists about the color blue among paintings, photographs, embroidery and engravings.
