Lower NHL Stanley Cup Odds

Lower NHL Stanley Cup Odds

The NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs did not really have any surprising upsets in the first round, but all can change in the second round. Five of the eight first-round series went to a Game 7 and we will have more excitement come the second round. All eight teams that are remaining have a chance to win the Stanley Cup, but how great of a chance do they really have?

The NHL Stanley Cup Odds have been changing by the minute, hour, and day during the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. It always changes because the series outcomes become different after each and every single game. What teams have the lower odds to win the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup title?

New York Rangers +1200

The New York Rangers had to come back from a 3-1 series deficit in the first round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Pittsburgh Penguins. New York is a team that never quits and plays hard. The Rangers may not be very good on 5-on-5 play, but their power play and special teams work got them to the second round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.

They will now face the Carolina Hurricanes, which has been a pain in the neck for them this year. New York’s head coach is Gerard Gallant. He is a very good head coach who pushes the right buttons for this hockey team. They have grit on all four lines, but the 5-on-5 play has to be better in Round 2 or they will be hitting the golf courses.

Artemi Panarin, Chris Kreider, Mika Zibanejad, and Adam Fox are their four best skaters. Igor Shesterkin struggled in Round 1 in net. The kids in Kappo Kakko, Alexis Lafreniere, and Filip Chytil all got better as the series went on. We will see what happens in Round 2, but expect a lot of growing pain for this New York Rangers hockey team against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Edmonton Oilers +1400

The Edmonton Oilers were down 3-2 in the first-round series against the Los Angeles Kings and came back to win that series 4-3. Connor McDavid took his game to another level in that time span and he recorded 14 points in that series. McDavid is the best player in the world right now and that is why Edmonton has a chance to win it all.

The Western Conference is not a gauntlet like the Eastern Conference is, but the Battle of Alberta between the Edmonton Oilers and the Calgary Flames will certainly be one though. That gauntlet and bad blood is going to start from the opening puck drop in Game 1 and hopefully, it last all seven games. For the Oilers’ sake, they just hope they can win this series.

Their head coach is Jay Woodcroft. Mike Smith had a shutout in Game 7 for Edmonton and he will need to be solid in this series. Tyson Barrie and Darnell Nurse on the backend have helped this hockey team. Leon Draisaitl, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Evander Kane, and Zach Hyman have helped this forward group also advance. They have enough pieces. The question will be are they physical and tough enough and will they get the depth scoring to advance deeper into the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs and would people on BETUS bet on them? If not, they will also be hitting the golf courses.

St. Louis Blues +1600

The only reason why the St. Louis Blues have the lowest odds to win the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup  on BETUS is because they are facing the Colorado Avalanche in the second round of the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Blues were swept in Round 1 last year against the Avalanche.

St. Louis can win that series because they role out four lines, but it may not be enough at the end of the day. Vladimir Tarasenko, Ryan O’Reilly, Jordan Kyrou, and Torey Krug are four important players on this hockey team. Jordan Binnington will be the starting goalie over Ville Husso. Craig Berube is the head coach of the St. Louis Blues.
