The Georges Rouquier space has been open since Saturday 2 April. Emmanuelle Grès is the hostess who will be welcoming visitors throughout this tourist season. In April and May, the museum is open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. In June and September from Friday to Sunday and July and August from Tuesday to Sunday from 2 pm to 6 pm. “Many groups have already booked the guided tour” Co-chair Jean-Claude Trebosek explains. Due to confinement and sanitation measures, the Society was unable to organize its traditional “Cinema and Spiritual” meetings in the Spring of 2020 and 2021. This year, on the weekend of May 14 and 15, the Society’s members have prepared an impressive program with four documentaries featuring the peculiarity of filming in Aveyron. Saturday, May 14: “Patron of Bacteria” in the presence of Marcel Miesi, inventor of Marcel Miesi Technologies and Co-Director of Subac. Then “Pigüé Corner Aveyron in the Pampa”.

Sunday, May 15: 2:30 p.m.: “They Live Here” with director Josette Hart and director Jean Melville. 4 p.m.: “Women of the Earth” by JP Vidal.

Finally, Édouard Bergéon’s fascinating feature film (2019) with Guillaume Canet: “Au nom de la terre” will be shown on Saturday 14 May at 9 pm, followed by a discussion with the Solidarité Paysans Association and the Chamber of Agriculture. Food is scheduled on Saturday from 7pm.
